You mean those large snow monsters? [ he's heard people mention seeing them, but eating them? it's possible but they seemed pretty dangerous. ]

It's not that hard, but the person who made it is special. [ he goes over and has a seat at the table. ] Come sit down and eat before it gets cold. [ momjaku. ]

Yeah, those things! Mikoto-san wanted one, so I got it for him. [ He looks proud!! Praise him, Koujaku.

Yata follows, sitting down and taking a bite of the food first before he continues. ]

Mm, right, your special friend. [ "Special friend". ] It's good! Let 'em know!

He wanted one? [ why on Earth... ] Did he say why? Still, taking one of those down, it must have been dangerous.

[ he laughs at Yata saying special friend. ] You might get to in person if you're lucky.

Yeah, he wanted to try eating one! Mikoto-san likes to eat different things... Heh, I'm strong, so it was easy!

[ he hums around another mouthful of food before responding. ] I dunno, Red Sparrow. After trying this I think I might wanna borrow them to cook for HOMRA.

So he's adventurous with food. [ not that he didn't see that as possible. he's still quite mysterious to Koujaku, but he doesn't want to pry too much. ] Do you call him "King" too? Totsuka was telling me a bit about you guys.

[ he laughs, because... well, the amount of times Aoba's turned down Mizuki for Dry Juice. ] Looking for new members? Aoba's not into that stuff, but payment might work.

Sometimes, I guess! I don't really think about what to call him, but Totsuka-san is the one that always calls him King. [ nod, nod. ]

Haaa, no way! Everyone that joins us seeks us out, not the other way around! [ well, usually. ] I just think Mikoto-san would be extra happy to have someone making him a lot of different food. All I can make is curry...

[ that's a bit strange as he expected everyone to call Mikoto that if they belonged to the group. ] Totsuka, he's not that much older than you -- is he high ranking? [ he can understand the san for Mikoto and the age difference, but Totsuka isn't too much older. ]

So that's how it works. [ well his own group is like that. ] Maybe Aoba can give one of your guys cooking lessons. [ aww curry. ] You know, it takes cooking one dish really well to win over a man's heart. [ and he finally starts eating, smirking a little before he does so. ]

Mm, if we were gonna rank it, I guess Totsuka-san would be number two! Ah, but not in strength! Totsuka-san is super weak, the strongest is Kusanagi-san and then me. [ praise hiiiiiim. ] Mikoto-san is on his own level of strong, so we can't count him in on that.

[ you know, had it been in regards to anyone else, he would have yelled. he would have thrown a fit and blushed and wanted to punch koujaku again for teasing him, but-- ]

With good food I can win over Mikoto-san and impress him more... I'll do it! I want Aoba's cooking lessons! [ YEAH!! ]

He's not so good at starting fires? [ after all that's the joke him and Mikoto had going on. ] You should be proud you're that high up and your age. Totsuka seems like a nice guy from the couple of times we talked. And well, the leader, he's always the strongest, and I could tell.

I'm sure he's impressed with you already, but if you're nice to Aoba and ask, I'll vouch for you. But like I said, the most important spice with cooking is love, so you'll have to learn how to do that on your own.

[ yata always knew koujaku was cool-- doubly so now that he could just easily tell mikoto was super strong. the guy sure knew what to say. ]

That's easy, I'll put all my love-spice in Mikoto-san's food, no problem! [ he eats another bite before leaning in closer a bit. ] You'll cook with us too, right? With all your love and shit for your friend as thanks for this meal!

[ he laughs at Yata's enthusiasm -- it's pretty heartwarming, actually, and he reminds him of one of his own. ] You sound mentally ready for it at least.

[ and at the him joining in for cooking... ] Sure, I guess, if Aoba lets me.

[ HE WAS BORN MENTALLY READY TO PLEASE MIKOTO-- no, shut up, a different focus now. ]

You're secretly a really bad cook, huh... [ why else wouldn't he be allowed to participate? ]

I wouldn't say I'm very good, but I can make a few dishes well enough. [ there are other reasons why Aoba doesn't want him around when he cooks. ] Aoba just gets... [ he's trying to find a nice word for tsundere. ] a little shy, that's all.

Does she hide behind things and crawl around the floor too?

[ Aoba was clearly Koujaku's girlfriend, right?? That's why he talked so fondly of this special friend?!

Anyway, Yata's image of a girl's shyness was now taken from his experiences with Kougyoku. There is so much wrong here. ]

She-[ see, he doesn't even get the chance to correct right away because he's confused. ] No, Aoba's not at the best at expressing thoughts and feelings, so instead you might get a whack on the head or an eye roll. [ that's not the definition of shy but oh well. ]

Mm, a different kind of shy, then... [ no that just wasn't shy at all. and yet, yata nods as if he totally understood that. ]

Being shy comes in different forms, but that sounds more like scared than shy. [ Yata what did you do to this girl!! ] Is there a reason why she did that? Did you say or d something? Or did someone or something else cause her to do that?

I dunno! She's just really shy, I keep finding her hiding a few feet away just watching me until I talk to her first. [ he shrugs, eating the last of his meal and wiping his mouth with the back of his hand. delicious. ]

Is this a new girl you met? She sounds like a little kid. [he still has some food, but it's good to see Yata liked it. ] Enjoyed it?

Nah, it's Kougyoku! [ oh, wait, had he ever actually told Koujaku her name? ] Ah, she's the girl I told you about before, I mean. And yeah, I did! Thanks, to Aoba for cooking, and for Red Sparrow's re-heating skills!

[ wait... what? ] Kou-chan? [ that's the girl yata was talking about!? he looks surprised, but it's nothing over the top. ] She's a young woman with long fuchsia hair, right? [ not that he feels guilty about what's he's done with her. she's too young for him to fool around with. ] She was the girl you were dating?

Yeah, that's her! She looks like a rabbit. [ he motions over his head where Kougyoku's hair loops would be. ] She's stayin' with us, if you wanna visit. [ since they were clearly friends, right? ]

I wouldn't say she looks like a rabbit, but she has a cute personality. [ wait she's living with him too!? ] So that's the place where you live, too. I've actually been there already since I've spent time with her; I helped take her back to her unit when she first arrived here, so we've kept in contact.

[ kougyoku? cute? he hadn't been looking!!!!!!!! not at all!!!! ]

Well, I promised to spend time with her and take her out, but next time I stop by, I'll make sure to say hello at the very least. I didn't know you were living with her and she never mentioned living with you. [ wow he can spoil them both. ] We're hanging out now though, aren't we?
